Leadership Development

Frank is a long-standing proponent, and instructor, of the Hersey/Blanchard Situational Leadership™ model (he is credited first person ever certified from the Center for Leadership Studies). All of his design work and leadership training is grounded in the principles of Situational Leadership.

Frank Wagner has designed and continues to facilitate a number of leadership workshops, all focusing on effective influence. These include:

The DNA of Teams

Leading in FastTime

The Leader as Coach

The Excellent Manager

Influencing Without Authority

Practical Skills for Influencing Others

Train-the-Coach for Behavioral Coaching

All of these workshops are based on the study of effective leaders at work.  From this study a model of practical steps has been created to increase the likelihood of effective influence. For instance, when the desired effect is “influencing across boundaries,” this training is based upon a six-step process to build alignment and action. Another organizing principle of these workshops is balancing what the leader should “do” and what the leader should “not do,” or avoid.

His view of the leader’s role can be visually described as follows:

Situational Leadership™ is trademarked by The Center For Leadership Studies, Escondido, CA
