Leading in FastTime

To lead in FastTime, you must decide what you want your tomorrow to be, and then make it happen faster than the rate of change in your competitive environment. Participants in this workshop explore a unique system of thinking, built upon "The Rule of Three:" There are three mindsets; each mindset has three principles; and each principle has three actions to produce a deliverable result.
As leaders we have to recognize that the complexity in today’s working environment and the unprecedented speed of potential competitive obsolescence requires new ways of thinking and acting.  Much of the material that makes up this training came from the lessons learned by the U.S. military from Operation Desert Storm during the first Iraqis war.

The essential mindset used by the leader to effectively lead in a “FastTime” environment are:

Thinking Strategically is made up of three interdependent Principles.  These are: Seeing the Big Picture; Designing Like an Architect (not a bricklayer); and, Acting Like a Winner 

Focusing Sharply takes the strategic view and makes is actionable through the following three Principles: Understanding the System; Looking for Leverage; and Creating “good enough” plans

Moving Quickly: takes the focused planning through three interrelated Principles that: Organize for Success (not convenience); Orchestrates Action; and Leads the Transitions
